"Spellbound" - Handmade Copper Wrapped Hummingbird Swing

$16.99Price
Quantity

The Dusk is our smallest hummingbird swing - a fine, delicate copper wire arch strung with hand-selected glass beads in soft, quiet tones that glow in low light. Small in scale but full of detail, it's the perfect perch for a hummingbird who likes a cozy spot to rest. The perch is made from grapevine harvested from a neighbor's backyard, wrapped and secured with copper wire by hand.

Each Dusk swing is entirely one of a kind. No two are exactly alike in bead arrangement or grapevine character - what you receive is the exact piece shown.

Details

  • Approximately 7–7.5 inches tall, 5–6 inches wide

  • Hand-shaped copper wire frame

  • Hand-selected glass and crystal bead - pink/clear glass beads

  • Grapevine perch, foraged locally

  • Includes a handmade copper S-hook - ready to hang

  • One of a kind - each piece is unique

  • Made in the USA

Hanging & Placement

  • Hang within a few feet of your nectar feeder - ours is about 4 feet away

  • Doesn't need to be in direct view of the feeder; around a corner works once they discover it

  • A covered porch or roof ledge is ideal - shelter keeps the swing moving gently

  • Hummingbirds prefer a clear sightline so they can watch their surroundings while resting

  • 5–8 feet off the ground works best. Eye level is ideal.

A note from the maker: Both the Sunrise and Dusk Collections are named for the time of day my eldest and youngest children were born - and, as it happens, the times our hummingbird loves most to come and rest. The product photos were taken on my own back porch, where the same hummingbird visits this swing every day. (Rainy days he spends hours here) He found it on his own and claimed it as his. There is nothing quite like watching a hummingbird settle in on something you made.
